2 Toddlers, 1 Gift
My girls are going to be turning 2 in a couple weeks, and we’ve been thinking about what to get them. They already have so many small toys, so we were thinking of what might be a good single gift for them to share. I found some great ideas of toys that are appropriate for 2 toddlers, that will also help invoke sharing.
Naturally Playful Teeter Totter: This is a great present, because they will have to play together to make it work. I’ve seen others, but I like this one because it rocks. (Their coordination isn’t quite there to push themselves off the ground). This sells for $44.99 at Target.
Kids Table and Chairs: My girls love to sit in chairs their size, and they’re also getting into coloring, so their very own table and chairs is a great idea. You can find any size, color, theme, or style you want. Just look around. This particular one is also at Target for $34.99.
Sandbox: And outdoor sandbox will bring hours of fun… just know that they’ll need baths afterward. I like this one because it has a lid to protect from rain, animals, and anything else unwanted. It can hold up to 100 lb of sand and sells for $28.87 at WalMart .
Basketball Hoop: This might be a little advanced for 2-year-olds, but if Dad wants them to learn, why not start early? However, I would recommend buying a ball for each kid. The pole adjusts up to 6 feet and sells for $39.99 at Amazon.com.
Caterpillar Xylophone 2-in-1: This toy might need a little more sharing than the others, but it does come with 2 mallets, and it can also be played like a piano. My girls got this for Christmas and love it! It sells for $7.99 at littletikes.com.
Aquadoodle Drawing Mat: Because my girls are getting into coloring, and we really don’t want to frquently clean the walls, here is an accident proof coloring mat. You fill the pen with water, and watch the color show up as you draw. If you go outside the mat, the only mess to clean up is water. It is 18 in. across, so there should be plenty of drawing space for 2. Again, buy 2 pens! It retails for $19.74 at WalMart.
